Sunday Morning Worship Times:
New Fall Schedule (beginning Sunday, September 11, 2011)
We welcome all to come worship with us on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am.
Everyone is invited to the "donut room" for coffee and donuts immediately
following
the worship service. This is a great opportunity for fellowship.
Sunday School for Children starts at 10:15 am
Adult Sunday School Class starts at 10:30 am
The church sanctuary is open from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. every week day.

Custom Grown Greenhouse Gift Cards
The office has $10 gift cards to be used at Custom Grown Greenhouse. You can use these cards to purchase your plants. For every card used the church receives $2 from Custom Grown Greenhouse at 4507 S 6th St. just north of Layton Ave. These cards have NO expiration date. Happy Planting!
Education Committee News
Aluminum Can Fundraiser
Save your aluminum cans for the Education Committee. Money will be used for the Vacation Bible School this summer. Remember to wash out the cans, bring them to church and drop them into the barrel sitting by the elevator. Thanks for your help.
Mission Committee News
Please take a look at the new poster by the mission bowl. It is a pictorial of our mission projects!
Mission Mitten Tree
Start knitting, crocheting, and shopping for mittens, gloves, scarves, hats, etc. to keep the children at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission warm this winter. Bring your donations to church and place them on the Mitten Tree. They will be distributed before Christmas.
We made $280 on our September Pancake Breakfast. It will be used toward our many mission projects for the remainder of the year.
Penny Drive
We are continuing our penny drive, so don't forget to save your pennies and deposit them in the container by the mission bowl.
Mission Bowl
Please consider dropping some of your spare change in the mission bowl located at the back of the sanctuary.
Human Concerns Food Drive
Donations to Human Concerns is ongoing. You may place items in the box located at the back of the sanctuary. Thank you so much for your contributions!
Use GoodSearch to Support Our Ministry
The goal of GoodSearch is to help as many nonprofits and schools as possible. We want to help fund the great works they are doing. And, as important as the money, GoodSearch allows people to feel connected to organizations helping to make the world a better place and support them every single day. We believe that "doing good" should be a part of people's everyday lives.
Because we donate such a substantial part of our revenue to the organizations that you designate, we're not spending a lot on advertising. That's why we need your help in spreading the word!

Help Heeded
The South Milwaukee/Oak Creek Interfaith Board of Directors helps provide direction, guidance and support for the SMOC program, which assists the elderly of our community.
Interfaith would like to have 2 members of each supporting church and their pastor to represent their church on the board. South Milw. United Methodist church has an opening. Board members are asked to attend monthly meetings, report information back to congregations by placing announcements in bulletins and newsleters, assist with annual fund raisers.
